Salt River National Park is another of St. Croix's designated national park areas. There is a small marina tucked in a little cove at the mouth of the bay. Just to the West of the bay's opening into the Caribbean Sea is the area believed to be the sight of Columbus' second landing at the 'New World' in 1493.
